Martin Hailey, a faithful servant to God and the Cross Bayou Community, passed away on July 17, 2024. Martin was a pilgrim on Walk to Emmaus #27 in 2001. He served on the team for 11 Walks after that. While fighting his battle with an aggressive cancer, Martin still attended every community gathering with a smile on his face. He was an inspiration to us all. In order to honor Martin’s commitment, the Martin Hailey Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established. This fund will be used to give financial assistance to those men and women wanting to attend the Great Banquet and/or Team members wanting to serve.
