Agape
What about all the fun little things we all enjoyed on a weekend? Where do they come from? The answer is you!! If you do not make agape, there is no agape for a weekend. So, start coming up with new and fresh ideas. Make more than one kind. Someone is waiting for you to bless them with the special agape that God has told you to make. Make enough agape that everyone can be part of the blessings. If you make just enough for our guests, then we cannot use it. Everyone on the tables gets the same agape, not just our guests.
Prayer is the most important agape – Every Banquet has a sign-up for onsite and offsite prayer.
How much agape should I make?
- Make at least 85 pieces – enough for pilgrims and the team. It is a good idea to make extra, in case of breakage.
How should I package my agape?
- Label your container/package with the number of pieces of agape
- Specify with your contact information if you would like any leftover agape, or if you would like for it to be donated (Donated agape is shared with Awakening teams, to add to and use for Awakening weekends)
- Print Agape Label
Can I determine where and when agape will be used?
- The Agape Chief will accept your suggestions, but please understand that they have the final say as to where and when your agape is used. Be sure to label your container/package for the walk, day, or time you have in mind to have this agape used if you wish.
Are there any suggestions about what to make?
- Please make table, pillow agape, and agape that can be worn on the serapes. Make it colorful and keep it light and inexpensive.
What happens to agape that is left over?
- Leftover agape will go to the person you designate, or it will be donated to our Awakening weekends.
Can I personalize agape with the guests / sleepers and team members’ names?
- Personalized agape is nice; However, be sure to have the current list of names and verify that all names are spelled correctly. You can find a current list of the guests on this website.
There was a special piece of agape that I received on my Great Banquet/Walk. Should I make it?
- Of course! Remember what meant the most to you – It may have the same impact on someone else.
What about food agape?
- Bring something that your guest likes to eat. It can be fruit, cookies, candy, chips, cake. Baked items are always a big hit.
- You can also sign up for specific needs that are listed on the sign-up forms.
Where do I leave agape?
- There are several places that you can leave your agape. You may leave it at Sponsor’s Hour with any agape team member or drop it off at the agape room designate. Food agape can be placed in the designated food room before Send off.
